Pardon the horrible pun....sometimes I can't help myself. But it is fitting. We are TOTALLY new to this farming thing and figuring it out along the way. One thing is for sure, and while it may sound obvious to most, we're not going this alone. Mother Nature is sitting in the driver's seat, we're merely passengers, co-pilots at best, for the journey. We have good intentions and big dreams, but we are not fully in control. Sounds a lot like life! Here's a taste of what we hope to have in store for our future visitors:
U-pick Flower Field
Workshops
Event Rental
Yoga/Events
In the meantime, we do currently offer vacation rentals on the farm. To find out more about our short-term rental at The Barn-just follow the link below.
Baby subflower seedlings just starting to germinate. These will be planted out in our new U-pick once the threat of frost has passed.
Rain or shine there's work to do on the farm. Paco begrudingly preparing to brave the rain.
Our new mini-tractor has arrived! Thank goodness 'cause we need all the help we can get.
Peonies are my favorite flower so experimenting to see how they fare in our unique micro-climate. Here's one of our first sprouts.
Peonies made it through the winter and seem to be going strong. Fingers-crossed we'll see some blooms next season.
We've been planning all winter and can't wait to plant our first crop of U-pick flowers in our soon-to-be cutting coral.
